Roanoke Wreck Repair Inc. opened its doors for business Dec. 18th 1985. At that time, we did only frame and structural work for other body shops. Unibody construction of auto bodies was relatively new then, and our staff had expertise in body and frame repair. This enabled Roanoke Wreck to have success repairing  these types of vehicles.

Within one year we had three frame machines and three people working them. By 1989, a new 5,500 square foot facility had been built and a 4th machine added. We were employing seven people. The following year a paint booth was installed and we started doing complete collision repair. In 1994, an addition onto the building brought the square footage to 9,700 and the number of employees to ten. In August 1997, we purchased and moved into our current location with 20,000 square feet. Today, Roanoke Wreck Repair is the premier body shop in Roanoke valley employing twenty-two people.We have grown an average of twenty percent per year since 1985 and have over 12,000 satisfied customers.

Number Two: Top Quality Facilities & Equipment

Our facility, conveniently located at 2729 Plantation Rd., is the largest independent body shop in the area. It is situated on 6 1/4 acres allowing plenty of room for expansion and ample room for parking. We are constantly striving to improve our surroundings making it more comfortable for the employees and a better environment to work in.

A larger than industry standard share of profits have been poured back into state of the art equipment. We have three Chief EZ Liner frame machines, a Hunter alignment machine, three MIG welders, one plasma cutting machine, a portable lift for inspection, two Blow Therm downdraft bake oven paint booths, color matching computer, A/C recycler, and computer estimating and management systems. We have plans to install an automated central vacuuming system to reduce dust.

Number Four: Keeping Staff Skills Sharp through Training

We are very proud to be the only body shop in all of SW Virginia to qualify for Gold Class Professional Certification by I-CAR, Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair.  For a shop to qualify employees must complete 80% of training classes offered. Our staff has had classes in color matching, unibody construction and repair, advanced vehicle systems, steering and suspension, electronics, aluminum repair and welding, and plastic repair. In addition to I-CAR classes we also have manufactures come in and give seminars on their products. Roanoke County Adult Education has proven invaluable in supplying in house training in conflict resolution and customer service. As new vehicles are developed and new techniques are developed to repair them Roanoke Wreck Repair will stay one step ahead of the competition with constant training.

We at Roanoke Wreck Repair want you to be completely satisfied with our repairs for as long as you own your car. If you experience a problem with our workmanship or materials let us know right away. We will make the necessary repairs or adjustments with as little inconvenience to you as possible. We will also honor the manufacturers warranties of the parts put on your car.
